About Thrill Of The Chase

Hi. My name is Shawn. I grew up listening to the 50s and 60s rock and roll my folks listened to. In the early 70s I was listening to Lobo, Donny Osmond (Hey, I was 10 years old!), Wings, and typical am radio fodder. Then a few years later I heard Kiss' Destroyer album and Sweet's Desolation Blvd. album and my life changed!! In 1976, at summer camp, we were listening to Boston's first album and Aerosmith Toys In The Attic. After that summer began the need to play an instrument. I chose guitar. It has been a love affair ever since! I have been in a variety of rock, country, and R&B bands ever since. I started Thrill Of The Chase in 1990 when I began to teach. The name comes from the desire to never forget what it's all about. "A bad day playing music is better than a good day floppin' Whoppers." I speak from experience!
